Digital Tracking Strategian (m/w/d)

Karlsruhe, Barcelona
Full or part-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

Data is only as good as the decisions it enables. Many companies collect a lot and still know very little. That's where you come in: You advise our clients from the very first question (“What do we actually want to measure?”) all the way to valid numbers in the dashboard. You're a sparring partner for marketing teams and decision-makers, not just an implementer.
Tracking in 2026 is no longer just tags and triggers. AI is changing how data is collected, validated, and used. You'll help shape that.
What you'll do
  • Advise clients on measurement strategy, KPIs, and data quality, at eye level with marketing teams and executives
  • Design tracking architectures: client-side and server-side, consent-compliant, future-proof
  • Audit existing setups and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Implement tracking setups with GTM and server-side GTM, or guide the client's team through implementation
  • Connect data sources, from GA4 and ad platforms to BigQuery
  • Put AI to work in your daily tracking practice: audits, QA, anomaly detection, and documentation. We build our own AI tools, and you'll use and shape them
  • Make data accessible through AI: conversational analytics instead of dashboard graveyards, so clients get answers instead of reports
  • Push measurement forward: How do brands show up in AI assistants? How do we measure traffic from AI search? You'll develop the answers with us
  • Make data understandable: in dashboards, workshops, and client meetings
  • Plan and manage your client projects independently

Your experience

What you bring
  • Several years of experience in digital analytics, ideally with a consulting component
  • Native-level German and excellent English. You'll advise our clients directly, so both are required
  • AI fluency: You work with AI tools every day, know their strengths and limits, and know when to trust them and when not to. For us, that's not a nice-to-have, it's table stakes
  • You can explain complex topics so that non-technical people know exactly what to do next
  • Solid command of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and consent management (Consent Mode v2, basic GDPR understanding)
  • Knowledge of server-side tracking and the conversion APIs of the major ad platforms (Google, Meta, LinkedIn)
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, dataLayer)
  • Experience with Looker Studio or comparable BI tools; BigQuery and SQL are a plus

Our Tools

You should be familiar with these tools:
  • Confident use of spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Spreadsheets…)
  • Confident use of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Matomo…)
  • Confident use of dashboards and reporting tools (Google Data Studio, Klipfolio…)
  • Confident use of tag management tools (Google Tag Manager...)

The results

What comes out of it
  • Clients who trust their data and make better decisions because of it
  • Tracking setups that hold up in audits: valid, documented, consent-compliant
  • Dashboards and analyses that answer questions instead of raising new ones
  • Consulting that delivers. We don't advise. We do.

Our promise

What we live by and what we love about our work:
  • Taking ownership and working independently is part of who we are. Flexible hours and working from home go without saying. We see our work as an important part of life, but just one part, and one that should adapt to everything else that matters.
  • You'll find a set of values here that we not only believe in but truly live every day.
  • We’re a diverse, international team of digital enthusiasts who are passionate about their topics — just like you.
  • You’ll get regular feedback from mentors. And because we’re always evolving and aim to improve a little every day, we value it the other way around too. Share your ideas, speak up when something’s off, and tell us how we can do better..
  • We’ve got fresh fruit, coffee, and soft drinks in all our offices. And we regularly get together for lunch.
  • Togetherness matters to us: we meet for team activities and workshops in Karlsruhe and Barcelona, or virtually, of course.
  • If you’re keen to grow, we’re here to support you: with language courses, conferences and other training opportunities. But as always: those who take the initiative get the most out of it. So talk to us about what you'd like to pursue.
  • We make sure you have what you need to do great work: phone plan, the right hardware, BahnCard or JobRad — whatever gets you going.
In a nutshell: You’ll help shape digital formats with our clients, set up smart processes and infrastructures, share both creative and technical know-how, and most importantly get things done. You’re the one who makes it happen. We don’t believe in “can’t”, but we do believe it’s up to you to drive what should.

About us

We empower our clients to act confidently in the digital world. That’s why we bring hands-on experts from all digital disciplines together, because real strategy only works when every aspect of the digital world is taken into account. We offer expertise in digital analytics, digital business planning, project management, UX/design, development, marketing, and support our clients in building up their internal capabilities.

We’re based in Karlsruhe, Cologne and Barcelona. And we're not alone: several other companies are part of our group, complementing the digital toolkit we offer for both client and in-house projects.

Our clients come from all sorts of industries and company sizes, from global corporations to local gourmet retailers. We are fully independent, both financially and strategically, which allows us to make clear and unbiased recommendations for digital strategies and implementation. It's one of the core values our clients genuinely appreciate.

Honesty and integrity are essential to us. We live by these and other values in our daily work, together. We enjoy coming to the office, working with our clients, and collaborating with our colleagues. This sense of community is something we truly value, and we’re happy to invest time and energy into it, because for us, work is more than just ticking boxes. :-)

We aim to make decisions together — during our weekly meetings, over lunch, in regular planning sessions, or at our two annual company workshops. These gatherings bring everyone together, on-site or remotely, to connect, align, and make sure we stay on the course we’ve set.

Sounds like your thing? Then we look forward to hearing from you!
